What gardener and landscaping work involves
01What the work is
Industrial plants in India usually keep a green belt of trees along their boundary and landscaped areas near the entrance, the offices and the canteen. Looking after them is steady outdoor work. Lawns are mown and edged, hedges trimmed, trees pruned away from power lines and roofs, beds weeded and replanted with the season, and fallen leaves and cuttings composted. Watering follows the weather and the plant’s water plan, often through drip lines or sprinklers that run on treated water. Gardeners also watch for pests and disease, and use fertiliser or sprays only as instructed.
02A shift, start to finish
Garden work starts early, before the heat. A shift may open with watering and checking the drip lines, then mowing or hedge trimming while it is cool, and planting, weeding or pruning later. Cuttings are collected and taken to the compost pit, not dumped. Tools are cleaned, oiled and returned to the store, and any burst pipe, broken sprinkler or fallen branch is reported. In the monsoon the focus shifts to drains, weeds and new planting; in summer, to keeping plants alive through the heat.

How your level rises
#1909 Gardening / Landscaping starts at L1 when you add it in My Skills. Each skill climbs from L1 to L5. Only SuperGig sets a level, from your record, never the app. Three things move it up:
- Approved shifts in the skillShifts a plant approved that listed this skill when it was posted.
- Arriving on timeAn arrival SuperGig verified, such as the WorkPass check at the gate.
- How plants rate your workIt counts once a plant has rated you. Before that it never holds you back.
The app shows what your next level needs.
The skill check on a shift
A plant can list skills on a shift with one minimum level for all of them, from L1 to L5. You need every listed skill at that level, and SuperGig checks yours before the booking is accepted.
A shift with no skills listed has no skill check: any KYC-verified Partner can book it.
