What fire & safety audit usually covers

Extinguishers lose pressure, hydrant valves stiffen and alarm panels go untested between drills. A fire and safety audit walks the site and checks the equipment you would depend on in an emergency, before you have to depend on it.

In SuperGig Plant it is one quote request: the inspection, the extinguishers to inspect and refill, and the hydrant and alarm checks. Refills and parts are listed line by line, so you see exactly what will be replaced before you agree to it.

If a fire officer, a licence renewal or a customer audit asks for a particular report or standard, say so in the scope, and ask for the provider’s details in the thread before you accept.

  1. Fire-safety inspection of the site

    A walk-through of the floor area you name. List anything you want looked at in particular, such as exits, escape routes or storage areas, and give the floor area in square feet if you know it.

  2. Extinguisher inspection & refill (quoted)

    Each extinguisher checked, and refilled where it needs it. Refills and parts are listed in the quote for your approval.

  3. Hydrant & alarm functional check

    Hydrants and alarms tested to see that they work. Say how many hydrant points and alarm panels you have, and where.
