The work that keeps a plant clean, safe and fed
A plant cannot run without the people who keep it clean, safe and fed. Housekeeping teams clean shop floors, aisles, washrooms and offices on a schedule, use the right chemical for each surface and keep walkways and exits clear. Security guards run the gate and the visitor register, patrol the site and report incidents. Canteen and pantry staff prepare and serve food and keep the kitchen spotless.
Safety roles look after everyone else. Fire and safety stewards check extinguishers, exits and alarms and help run drills. Safety officers and EHS supervisors manage permits, inspections and toolbox talks, and first-aid and occupational health assistants run the first-aid room. ETP and STP operators run the plant’s effluent and sewage treatment, scrap and waste yard handlers sort and stack scrap for collection, and gardeners keep the grounds.
Several of these roles go with a certificate. #2009 First-Aid Certified and #2010 Fire Warden / Fire Safety Certified count only once SuperGig verifies them.
Safety and PPE
Every plant sets its own safety rules. A shift can list what to bring or wear, like safety shoes or PPE, and the hard parts, like heavy lifting or night work, so read it before you book.

- Gloves and masks Wear gloves and a mask with strong chemicals, and never mix them.
- Non-slip shoes Wear non-slip safety shoes on wet floors and in the kitchen.
- SOS on shift On a live shift, the app’s SOS button puts 112, India’s emergency number, first.

A shift can list skills and one minimum level for all of them. You need every listed skill at that level, and SuperGig checks yours before the booking is accepted. A shift with no skills listed has no skill check: any KYC-verified Partner can book it.
