What packing and dispatch work involves
Packing is the last step before a product leaves the plant, and the first thing a customer sees. Packers check each piece, fold or place it the standard way, add inserts and labels, fill cartons and seal them. The count, the label and the box must all match the order, so a careful packer is worth as much as a fast one.
Pick-and-pack associates pick items against an order and pack them for dispatch. Labelling and sorting stations print, apply and check labels and barcodes. Shrink-wrap and strapping operators secure loaded pallets for the truck, and carton and blister packing operators run semi-automatic packing machines. Rework and repack teams open, fix and re-pack goods that failed a check.
Packing work tends to rise when a plant has a big order to ship, so it suits people who want short or occasional shifts. Set the days and times you want in My Availability and book only the shifts that fit.
Safety and PPE
Every plant sets its own safety rules. A shift can list what to bring or wear, like safety shoes or PPE, and the hard parts, like heavy lifting or night work, so read it before you book.

- Carton weight Lift full cartons with bent knees and ask for help with heavy ones.
- Hygiene rules Food and pharma packing need hairnets, gloves and the plant’s hygiene rules.

The skill check
A shift can list skills and one minimum level for all of them. You need every listed skill at that level, and SuperGig checks yours before the booking is accepted. A shift with no skills listed has no skill check: any KYC-verified Partner can book it.
