What delivery driver work involves
01What the work is
Plants move goods by road every day: parts to a sister plant, finished goods to a customer or a warehouse, samples and urgent spares to and from suppliers, and returnable bins and pallets back again. A driver on these runs is responsible for the vehicle, the load and the papers from the moment the truck leaves the gate until the customer signs for the goods. That means checking the vehicle before setting off, seeing the load secured, carrying the invoice or challan and the e-way bill, driving safely through city and highway traffic, and bringing back a signed proof of delivery.
02A shift, start to finish
A driving shift starts at the plant: collect the keys and the trip sheet, check tyres, brakes, lights, wipers, mirrors, oil, coolant and fuel, and note the odometer. You watch the loading or check it yourself, count packages against the challan and confirm everything is tied down. On the road you follow the plant’s route, keep to speed limits and rest stops, and call ahead if you will be late. At each drop you hand over goods and papers and get a signature; back at the plant you return the vehicle, the papers and the completed trip sheet.
03Your skill in SuperGig Partner
In the app this is #1708 Delivery Driver (LMV / HMV), matched to NCO-2015 8322.0501 (Light Motor Vehicle Driver) and the national Light Motor Vehicle Driver qualification at NSQF level 2.5; the app notes that heavy goods driving is NCO-2015 8332.0100 (Driver Truck). #1708 has no level until SuperGig verifies your #2005 Driving Licence (LMV / HMV). The app cites the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, under which a licence is issued for classes of vehicle, so check the vehicle in a shift’s description against the classes on your licence.

- L4Expert
You take long, heavy or urgent runs and difficult loads, and guide the loaders at your vehicle.
- L5Master

How your level rises
Your #1708 Delivery Driver (LMV / HMV) skill starts at L1 once SuperGig has verified your #2005 Driving Licence (LMV / HMV). Each skill climbs from L1 to L5. Only SuperGig sets a level, from your record, never the app. Three things move it up:
- Approved shifts in the skillShifts a plant approved that listed this skill when it was posted.
- Arriving on timeAn arrival SuperGig verified, such as the WorkPass check at the gate.
- How plants rate your workIt counts once a plant has rated you. Before that it never holds you back.
The app shows what your next level needs.
The skill check on a shift
A plant can list skills on a shift with one minimum level for all of them, from L1 to L5. You need every listed skill at that level, and SuperGig checks yours before the booking is accepted.
A shift with no skills listed has no skill check: any KYC-verified Partner can book it.
Licences and standards for delivery driver work
Licences and certificates
L1 waits for a verified #2005 Driving Licence (LMV / HMV)Add the licence in the app, tap “Ask SuperGig to verify” and keep the original ready: SuperGig support will call you and check it against your verified Aadhaar. Only SuperGig can verify a licence or certificate.
One licence skill covers both LMV and HMV in the app, so what matters on a shift is whether the classes printed on your licence cover the vehicle the plant names.
