What carton and blister packing work involves
01What the work is
Blister packs hold tablets, capsules, small hardware, batteries and accessories in formed plastic pockets sealed with foil or card; cartons are the printed boxes those blisters, bottles and tubes go into. On a blister machine, film is heated and formed into pockets, the product is fed in, foil is sealed on top and the strip is cut and coded. A cartoner then opens out the carton, inserts the blister and the leaflet, closes the flaps and prints the batch details. The operator feeds materials, watches seal quality and coding, clears jams safely and pulls samples for checks.
02A shift, start to finish
In pharma and food plants a shift opens with line clearance: removing every trace of the last batch’s product, foil, cartons and leaflets, then a check and sign-off before the new batch starts. You load the right foil, film and cartons, check the batch code and expiry print on the first packs, and run. Samples are checked at set intervals for seal integrity, coding and counts. Materials are counted in and out so the batch reconciles, rejects go into a locked bin, and the shift ends with another line clearance.

How your level rises
#1805 Carton / Blister Packing Operator starts at L1 when you add it in My Skills. Each skill climbs from L1 to L5. Only SuperGig sets a level, from your record, never the app. Three things move it up:
- Approved shifts in the skillShifts a plant approved that listed this skill when it was posted.
- Arriving on timeAn arrival SuperGig verified, such as the WorkPass check at the gate.
- How plants rate your workIt counts once a plant has rated you. Before that it never holds you back.
The app shows what your next level needs.
The skill check on a shift
A plant can list skills on a shift with one minimum level for all of them, from L1 to L5. You need every listed skill at that level, and SuperGig checks yours before the booking is accepted.
